That makes sense. A lot of books they seel that teaches you coloring with colored pencils have a step-by-tep technique on coloring, then at the end it says "do what works for you" ._. So I guess you just need to get ideas from other people's techniques.

You'd be surprised by the ammount of variety actually! People can do things differently and that's how they achieve different results (I know you wouldn't guess it by looking at a box of pencils, though!).

Blending and applying colours are the things you have to master on your own if you ask me. X] That's where you find out what works the best for you and what doesn't. Trial and error, basically. You also develop your own technique through that. The best tip I could give people is to keep practicing!

Ahaha, I see what you mean. I feel that way about a lot of tutorials, like "how to draw chibis," or "how to color anime eyes" and stuff...but colored pencil shading doesn't seem to have a terribly huge amount of variety. There are a lot of different techniques, but blending colors and applying the water may need soime explainations.

And I don't really believe in pencil tutorials. I mean, there's the directions you use for shading, your own personal pressure (that can't be "set" like you can do when you CG, etc). I believe that everyone should experiment and develop their own style. =] We're all different and that's why tutorials are hard to follow. Maybe that's just me, though!

So the artist drew you with heterochromia, huh? That's cool! BTW I have a question that just popped up in my head: If your character has a story of how she got this condition, what would it be caused by: Genetics, mosaicism, or others?
